ISLAMABAD: Zahid Khan, information secretary of the Awami National Party (ANP), said on Saturday that federal and the provincial governments were ignoring the problems of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and his party would stage a protest against this attitude in front of the Parliament House. He said that enforcement of the Customs Act in the Malakand Division was an injustice to the terrorism-hit people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Talking to journalists, Khan and Senator Shahi Syed said the federal government left the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the mercy of God during natural disasters like recent flood and land sliding. More than 150 people were killed and several houses were destroyed when rain and flood hit the province a few days ago. They said the affected people were not given any compensation. They said their party would stage a protest demonstration outside the Parliament House if the government does not take notice of the problems of the affected people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
